Pakistan has extended its airspace restrictions on all India-owned and India-operated aircraft until 4:59am on July 24, according to a Notice to Airmen issued by the Pakistan Airports Authority.

The ban applies to all Indian-registered aircraft, including commercial, military, and leased planes operated by Indian airlines. The restriction took effect at 5:50pm on June 16, the NOTAM stated.

Authorities said the airspace closure will remain in place for the notified period as part of ongoing aviation restrictions between the two countries.

Pakistan initially imposed the ban in April last year following escalating tensions with India, with both countries subsequently closing their airspace to each other’s airlines.

The latest extension comes amid continued diplomatic and security strains, with both sides maintaining restrictions introduced during previous phases of heightened conflict.
