Distribution companies (DISCOs) have introduced simplified electricity bills as part of efforts to improve transparency and ease of understanding for consumers.
The initiative, announced by the energy ministry, is aimed at making billing structures more user-friendly by reducing technical details and presenting charges in a clearer format.
Officials said the reform is part of broader consumer-focused improvements in the power sector, intended to help households better understand their monthly electricity usage and costs.
The simplified bills are expected to reduce confusion over charges and enhance trust between consumers and utility providers, according to the ministry.
Authorities added that further digital and administrative reforms are also being considered to improve efficiency in the electricity distribution system.
