Actor Momina Iqbal has officially begun her wedding celebrations, with a traditional Dua-e-Khair ceremony marking the start of the festivities.
Photos and videos from the event quickly spread across social media, attracting attention from fans and well-wishers. Family members, relatives and close friends gathered to offer prayers for the couple’s future together.
The ceremony served as the first event in a series of wedding functions for Momina and her husband, Hamza Habib. The prayer gathering set the tone for the celebrations that are expected to follow.
Momina drew praise for her elegant appearance. She wore a traditional gharara in soft golden and light pink shades, which became one of the highlights of the event.
Hamza Habib also appeared in traditional attire, with the couple remaining the centre of attention throughout the gathering.
The celebrations come shortly after reports confirmed that Momina and Hamza had tied the knot. Hamza publicly acknowledged the marriage while speaking to reporters during proceedings at the Lahore High Court.
“I am not her future husband; I am her husband now. Thank God we got married two days ago,” he said.
During the hearing, Justice Abir Gul granted protective bail to Hamza Habib and directed him to approach the relevant court by June 1. Momina’s sister, Rimsha, was also present in court.
Hamza is currently facing a case registered in Jhang over allegations of issuing threats to Saqib Chadhar. The matter is linked to harassment complaints filed by Momina with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
Hamza has denied the allegations, calling them false and baseless. He has also claimed that the case is politically motivated and reiterated that Momina is his legally wedded wife.
