Brooks Koepka says he is ready to compete at the US Open after recovering from a left hand nerve injury, marking his return to major championship golf.

The five-time major winner is making his first appearance at Shinnecock Hills since his victory in 2018, when he claimed one of the most memorable titles of his career.

Koepka’s preparation has been disrupted by the injury, but he insists he is fit enough to compete as he looks to rediscover his best form on one of golf’s toughest courses.

Shinnecock Hills is expected to provide a stern test once again, with challenging conditions and a demanding layout that previously suited Koepka’s powerful and precise playing style.

The American will be aiming to add another US Open title to his resume as he returns to a venue where he has already tasted major success.
