Aryna Sabalenka defeated Naomi Osaka 7-5, 6-3 in the French Open last 16 on Monday.
Sabalenka controlled key moments after a tight opening set on Court Philippe-Chatrier.
She will next face Diana Shnaider, who beat Madison Keys in three sets.
Sabalenka remains the only Grand Slam champion left in both singles draws at Roland Garros.
She is also chasing her first French Open title after last year’s final defeat.
The world No. 1 has now reached 14 consecutive Grand Slam quarter-finals.
In men’s action, Matteo Berrettini reached his first major quarter-final since 2022.
Berrettini defeated Juan Manuel Cerundolo in straight sets to continue his comeback.
