Nurse Razia Noreen, who rescued a newborn during the fire at PIMS, will be honoured with a civil award in recognition of her courage and selfless service.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised Noreen’s bravery, describing her actions as an inspiring example of dedication in the face of danger.
The prime minister also announced a cash reward of Rs10 million for the nurse in recognition of her heroic rescue.
The decision comes after Noreen’s swift response during the hospital fire drew widespread praise for helping save the infant amid the emergency.
