Major AI and productivity platforms, including ChatGPT, Claude, Grok and Microsoft-linked email services, have recovered after a widespread disruption affected users across multiple services.

The outage caused temporary interruptions for thousands of users before companies gradually restored normal operations through technical fixes.

Anthropic said most Claude models returned to normal after the issue was addressed, although Opus 4.8 and Opus 5 continued to experience elevated error rates for a period before stabilising.

The disruption highlighted the growing dependence on AI-powered tools and digital services as users across multiple platforms experienced simultaneous outages before services resumed.
