Sensitive files linked to Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 Pro models have reportedly been leaked on the dark web following a ransomware attack on Tata Electronics, according to documents and sources cited in reports.
The exposed data is said to include supplier lists, component breakdowns and internal design details, mapping Apple’s parts supply chain across multiple global vendors. Some files reportedly relate to chips, camera systems and battery components.
Images allegedly included in the leak show iPhone prototypes undergoing testing, including drop-test photographs dated early 2026. The devices are described as slab-style models with a triple-camera setup, though their authenticity has not been independently verified.
Apple and Tata, a key manufacturing partner for iPhones in India, have not publicly commented on the incident. The breach raises concerns over supply chain security as Apple continues to shift production away from China toward India.
The leak also highlights Apple’s reliance on a complex global supplier network, potentially exposing commercial relationships that are usually kept confidential ahead of product launches.
