US President Donald Trump has played down reports of a growing rift with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying relations between the two leaders remain “very good” despite differences over Gaza and Iran.
The two leaders have reportedly diverged on several issues, particularly following Trump’s push for a ceasefire and negotiated settlement in the conflict.
Trump’s comments appeared aimed at easing speculation that disagreements over regional policy could damage the close relationship between Washington and Tel Aviv.
Despite their differences, both leaders continue to coordinate closely on major Middle East security issues, while discussions over Gaza’s future and Iran’s role remain sensitive.
