The Sindh government has announced a public holiday on July 29 across the province to mark the annual urs of Sufi poet Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai.

According to an official notification, government offices, educational institutions and several public sector departments will remain closed in observance of the occasion. The annual urs commemorates the life and teachings of one of Sindh’s most revered Sufi saints and literary figures.

Thousands of devotees are expected to visit Bhit Shah to participate in religious gatherings, prayers and cultural events held in connection with the celebrations. Authorities have also made arrangements to facilitate pilgrims attending the annual commemoration.
