Antonelli takes third behind Verstappen in a closely fought race at the Red Bull Ring.

George Russell delivered a controlled performance to win the Austrian Grand Prix, returning Mercedes to the top step after a difficult run of races.
The British driver finished 1.611 seconds ahead of Max Verstappen, who pushed hard in the closing laps but could not catch the Mercedes car. Verstappen held off teammate and championship leader Kimi Antonelli, who completed the podium in third.
The race was tightly contested throughout, with high track temperatures adding to the challenge as drivers managed tyre wear in demanding conditions.
Russell said the win was a welcome return to form after recent setbacks, while Verstappen praised his team’s pace despite missing out on victory. Antonelli admitted he lost time early in the race but recovered strongly in the final stages.
Further down the field, Oscar Piastri finished fourth, ahead of Lewis Hamilton in fifth, as Ferrari and McLaren both struggled to match the leaders’ pace.
