Pakistan equities traded strongly higher on Tuesday, with broad-based buying pushing the KSE-100 index up by more than 1,000 points during intraday trading.
The benchmark index rose to around 179,488, gaining about 0.60%, after touching an intraday high above 180,000 points. Gains were driven by heavyweight sectors including banks, cement, automobiles, oil and gas, and power generation.
Market momentum remained positive from the opening session, with index-heavy stocks leading the advance and sustaining upward pressure throughout the day.
Trading activity also stayed healthy, with over 108 million shares changing hands as investors continued to build positions across key sectors.
The rally in Pakistan’s market came amid broader strength in global equities, where Asian markets also posted gains during the session.
