Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed the full digitisation of overseas remittances to improve efficiency and transparency. He emphasized the importance of modernising financial systems.
The prime minister said a cashless economy would promote transparency, support sustainable economic growth and reduce reliance on cash transactions. He urged wider adoption of digital payment methods across the country.
Officials were instructed to accelerate reforms and strengthen digital financial infrastructure. The government aims to make remittance transfers faster, more secure and more accessible for overseas Pakistanis.
