Sardar Muhammad Yousaf announced that Pakistan has successfully completed its Hajj 2026 operations and won the international “Labbaitum Excellence Award” for the second year in a row.
He said the grievance rate among pilgrims fell to below 1%, reflecting improved arrangements in transport, accommodation, and services.
Speaking in Makkah, he credited coordination between the Government of Pakistan, the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Pakistan Hajj Mission, and Saudi authorities for the improved performance.
Pakistan, with a quota of around 180,000 pilgrims, remains one of the largest Hajj organizers globally.
Officials also highlighted the expansion of the “Road to Makkah” initiative in Lahore, which allowed most pilgrims to complete immigration procedures before departure.
The minister praised medical teams for assisting elderly and critically ill pilgrims in completing key rituals through special arrangements.
He also warned against misinformation on social media, saying it created unnecessary confusion during the operation.
Looking ahead, officials confirmed that preparations for Hajj 2027 have already begun following the Saudi timeline.
