Pakistan has strongly warned India against what it called “adventurism” following remarks by an Indian minister on Kashmir. The Foreign Office said the comments were provocative and aimed at undermining internationally recognised facts regarding the disputed territory.

In a statement, the FO said such rhetoric was unhelpful and risked escalating tensions in the region. It stressed that attempts to alter the internationally acknowledged status of Jammu and Kashmir would not succeed.

Pakistan urged India to refrain from inflammatory statements and instead pursue dialogue to resolve outstanding disputes. The FO maintained that lasting peace and regional stability depend on addressing the Kashmir issue in line with international law and relevant UN resolutions.
