Pakistan and the United States have renewed the Fulbright-Higher Education Commission (HEC) partnership, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening higher education, research collaboration and academic exchange.
Under the renewed arrangement, officials said the selection process will continue to be based entirely on merit, with no fixed quotas for any particular group, province or region.
The Fulbright-HEC programme has long provided opportunities for Pakistani students, scholars and researchers to pursue advanced studies and research at universities in the United States.
Officials from both countries said the renewed partnership aims to expand educational cooperation, support faculty development and encourage knowledge-sharing in areas important for Pakistan’s academic and economic development.
The agreement is expected to help strengthen institutional links between Pakistani and American universities while providing more opportunities for talented students and researchers to compete on the basis of academic excellence.
