A high-level Pakistani delegation is set to attend the signing of the United States–Iran peace agreement at the Bürgenstock Resort in Switzerland on Friday, diplomatic sources said.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir are expected to arrive for the ceremony, along with Information Minister Attaullah Tarar.
Officials from Pakistan’s Foreign Office have already reached Switzerland to finalize arrangements for the event, which will bring together senior representatives from multiple countries under tight security.
The agreement signing is expected to take place at the Bürgenstock Resort, a luxury alpine venue overlooking Lake Lucerne that has previously hosted major international diplomatic meetings and peace talks.
The ceremony marks a significant diplomatic moment following months of negotiations involving the United States and Iran, with Pakistan playing a mediating role in the process.
Senior officials are expected to arrive later in the day ahead of the high-profile event.
