Pakistan and Kuwait have signed a defence cooperation agreement that formally establishes an institutional framework for collaboration between the two countries in security and military affairs.
According to Pakistan’s Foreign Office, the accord is intended to institutionalise defence cooperation and strengthen coordination in areas such as military training, security exchanges, defence consultations and other matters of mutual interest.
The FO described the agreement as another important milestone in Pakistan-Kuwait relations, reflecting the steady expansion of bilateral ties beyond traditional diplomatic and economic cooperation.
Kuwait’s foreign minister also commended the growing partnership with Pakistan, emphasizing the importance of closer collaboration in defence, regional security and broader strategic engagement.
The agreement comes amid increasing efforts by both countries to deepen cooperation across multiple sectors, including security, trade, investment and regional stability, as Pakistan continues to strengthen its ties with Gulf partners.
