Israeli premier calls meeting one of his best ever with a US president as leaders discuss Iran, Gaza and regional security

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met President Donald Trump at the White House on Tuesday in their first face-to-face talks since the outbreak of the Iran war.
The meeting focused on Iran’s nuclear programme, the ongoing Gaza conflict and broader security concerns across the Middle East.
Speaking after the talks, Netanyahu struck a highly positive tone, saying the discussion was “one of the best conversations I’ve ever had with the president of the United States.”
Trump and Netanyahu have remained in close contact during the recent escalation involving Iran, and the White House meeting was seen as an important step in coordinating their next diplomatic and security moves.
Officials said the two leaders also discussed efforts to prevent further regional escalation and reviewed the security situation following recent military developments involving Iran and its allies.
The talks underscored Washington’s continued support for Israel while highlighting the growing international focus on avoiding a wider Middle East conflict.
