Karachi Traffic Police issued 96 e-challans on Sharea Faisal for lane violations as enforcement continued under a phased implementation plan.
Sharea Faisal remains under strict monitoring as authorities aim to introduce structured lane discipline using surveillance cameras.
Pir Muhammad Shah, DIG Traffic Karachi, said commuters are being given initial leniency during the transition period.
He added that challans are currently being issued during peak morning and evening hours only to help motorists adjust.
Motorcyclists, rickshaws, and commercial vehicles have been advised to avoid the fast-track lane for smoother traffic flow.
Authorities warned that stricter enforcement, including fines for second right-lane violations, will be introduced after the adjustment phase.
The e-challan system for lane discipline was launched on June 1 as part of Karachi’s new traffic management plan.
