Jaclyn Smith opened up about PaleyFest’s Charlie’s Angels 50th anniversary reunion, sharing that she was under contract at the time and felt it was her duty to participate.
She added, “I had a contract for Charlie’s Angels, and coming from Houston, you follow your commitments. Aaron Spelling was the first to invite me to the event, so I was honoring my contract.”
The part of Dr. Holly Goodhead in the Roger Moore Bond film was eventually played by Lois Chiles. Smith expressed that she has no regrets about that. “I believe it wasn’t meant to be. Things happen for a reason, I truly believe that, so I have no regrets.” She also mentioned that Moonraker was not the only significant role that she missed out on.
