Iran has said it has sufficient foreign currency reserves to manage the impact of US sanctions, rejecting concerns over potential pressure on its financial system.

Central Bank Governor Abdolnaser Hemmati said the bank continues to collect foreign currency receivables and is taking measures to maintain the country’s access to needed funds.

Hemmati’s remarks come as Tehran faces continued economic pressure from US sanctions, which have restricted Iran’s access to international financial markets and complicated its oil and trade revenues.

Iranian authorities have repeatedly stressed that the country’s financial system remains resilient despite sanctions, while continuing efforts to protect foreign currency inflows and support the domestic economy.
