Former prime minister Imran Khan has been transferred back to Adiala Jail after undergoing a medical examination following his brief overnight stay at a hospital in Islamabad.
Khan was taken for a medical check-up after the Supreme Court ordered authorities to facilitate his transfer to Shifa International Hospital amid concerns over his health. A team of doctors examined him during the visit.
According to government officials, the medical team declared Khan fit to return to prison after completing the examination. His sister remained present during the medical process.
Khan was subsequently taken back to Adiala Jail in the early hours of Friday, bringing his short hospital visit to an end. His party, however, has raised concerns about the decision and maintained that he requires further medical care.
