Arsalan Butt has served a legal notice to actress Mamya Shajaffar following her recent allegations about inappropriate behavior on a drama set.
The actor shared the legal notice on Instagram and stated that the accusations made against him were false and defamatory. In his post, he demanded a public apology within a specified time period and warned of possible legal action, including defamation and criminal proceedings.
Arsalan Butt also responded in the comments section, insisting that he was neither vulgar nor seeking publicity. He warned that serious consequences would follow if the allegations were not withdrawn.
According to the notice, the claims made by Mamya Shajaffar were described as false, baseless, malicious, and harmful to his reputation. The notice reportedly demands that she remove the interview, withdraw her remarks, publicly apologize, and avoid repeating similar statements in the future.
The controversy began after Mamya Shajaffar appeared on a podcast and spoke about what she described as her worst acting experience in the entertainment industry. Without initially naming him directly, she alleged that Arsalan Butt made her uncomfortable on set.
She described him as a “thirsty man” and claimed that his behavior toward her became inappropriate because of her appearance. She also alleged that tensions grew after a disagreement involving feminism.
Mamya further claimed that during an attempt to resolve issues on set, Arsalan Butt tried to hug her. According to her account, he became angry after she refused and created a scene.
So far, Mamya Shajaffar has not publicly responded to the legal notice. She is currently preparing for her film debut in Luv Di Suan alongside Farhan Saeed, with the film expected to release around Eidul Azha.
