Sweden opened their World Cup campaign with a dominant 5-1 win over Tunisia, moving to the top of Group F.
Yasin Ayari scored twice, while Alexander Isak and Viktor Gyökeres also found the net in a commanding attacking display.
Sweden took an early lead in the 7th minute through Ayari after a defensive mistake by Tunisia. Isak doubled the advantage before halftime following a swift counterattack.
Tunisia briefly responded with a header from Omar Rekik, but Sweden regained control in the second half.
Gyökeres added a third goal, before substitute Mattias Svanberg made it 4-1 after a VAR review confirmed the strike.
Ayari completed his brace with a stunning long-range effort in stoppage time.
The result gives Sweden three points and top spot in Group F ahead of Japan and the Netherlands.
Tunisia coach Sabri Lamouchi admitted his side made too many errors, while Sweden coach Graham Potter praised his team’s balance and attacking threat.
