Former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed is expected to continue as Pakistan’s Test head coach for the upcoming tours of the West Indies and England, according to reports.
Sarfaraz recently oversaw his first assignment as head coach during Pakistan’s tour of Bangladesh, where the hosts secured a historic 2-0 series victory.
Meanwhile, uncertainty surrounds the future of Test captain Shan Masood. Although no final decision has been made, he remains a strong contender to lead the side on both tours.
Sources also indicate that T20I captain Salman Ali Agha is set to be included in the Test squad for the England tour and has the backing of influential figures within the Pakistan Cricket Board.
Pakistan are scheduled to face the West Indies in a two-Test series beginning in late July, followed by a three-Test tour of England in August and September.
