Tom Holland front and center in Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey teaser

Tom Holland takes center stage in Christopher Nolan’s sweeping new epic The Odyssey, as a fresh trailer released Monday night offers audiences a closer look at the director’s most ambitious project yet.

Set for release on July 17 under Universal Pictures, the film reimagines Homer’s classic tale of Odysseus’s perilous journey home to Ithaca.

Zendaya’s partner stars as Telemachus, the son of Odysseus, alongside an ensemble cast featuring Matt Damon as Odysseus, Anne Hathaway as Penelope, Charlize Theron as Calypso, and Robert Pattinson as Antinous, Penelope’s scheming suitor.

The trailer also introduces John Leguizamo as Eumaeus and Jon Bernthal as Menelaus, while giving audiences a first full glimpse of the fearsome Cyclops.

Shot entirely on IMAX cameras, Nolan’s signature visual scale is on full display, with glimpses of large-scale battle sequences teased throughout the footage.

With a reported $250 million budget, The Odyssey stands as the most expensive film of Nolan’s career to date.

Holland’s prominent role as Telemachus places him at the emotional core of the story, following the young prince as he awaits his father’s return to reclaim Ithaca and protect his mother from powerful suitors.

With anticipation building, The Odyssey is already shaping up to be one of 2026’s most talked-about releases.
