The mosquito-borne disease has killed 53 people and infected more than 76,000 since January, with officials linking the rapid spread to a more virulent virus strain and monsoon rains.
Authorities are using drones to identify mosquito breeding sites, while troops and police are inspecting homes, schools and construction sites as hospitals expand capacity to cope with the growing number of patients.
