Pakistani climber from Hunza reaches world’s third-highest mountain at 8,586m
Pakistani mountaineer Sohail Sakhi has successfully summited Kangchenjunga, the world’s third-highest peak located in Nepal. He reached the 8,586-meter summit at 12:15 am Nepal time.
Sakhi was also part of the rope-fixing team that prepared the route for other climbers before the final ascent.
The Hunza-based climber has previously scaled major peaks including K2, Nanga Parbat, Gasherbrum I, and Gasherbrum II, further strengthening his reputation in high-altitude mountaineering.
