Shakira has been acquitted of tax fraud charges in Spain after a nearly eight-year legal battle.
The court ruled she did not meet the 183-day requirement for Spanish tax residency in 2011, so she was not legally liable for taxes that year.
Spanish authorities have been ordered to cancel penalties and refund millions paid in fines. A separate case covering later years remains unaffected.
