Elena Rybakina fought back from a set down to defeat Naomi Osaka and book her place in the Toronto semi-finals after a hard-fought three-set encounter.
The former Wimbledon champion struck 13 aces and recovered from losing the opening set to secure a 4-6, 7-6 (7/5), 6-4 victory.
Osaka made the stronger start and took the first set, but Rybakina raised her level in the second, edging a tense tie-break before taking control of the deciding set.
The win sends Rybakina into the last four of the WTA event and keeps her title challenge alive after one of the standout matches of the tournament so far.
