Russia is prepared to consider new proposals aimed at ending the war in Ukraine, but Moscow has stressed that any potential agreement would have to meet its conditions.
A senior Russian diplomat said Moscow remained willing to listen to new peace initiatives, while expressing doubts about Washington’s ability to influence Kyiv and its European supporters.
The comments come as international efforts continue to find a diplomatic path towards ending the conflict, with the United States and European countries pushing for progress in negotiations.
Moscow has repeatedly said that any lasting settlement must address its security concerns and other demands, while Ukraine has maintained its own conditions for a potential peace agreement.
