PTCL Group Reports Massive Turnaround with Rs 3.1 Billion Profit

(Web Desk) – Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL Group) has announced a significant financial recovery, posting a net profit of Rs 3.1 billion for the first quarter of 2026. This is a major shift from the Rs 4 billion loss reported during the same period last year.

The group’s strong performance is largely credited to the successful merger with Telenor Pakistan, which was officially completed at the end of 2025. This consolidation has created a telecom giant with a massive customer base and improved nationwide coverage.

Key Financial Highlights

  • Revenue Growth: Consolidated revenue jumped by 58% compared to last year.
  • Operating Profit: Surged by an incredible 564%, driven by the addition of Telenor Pakistan and the strong performance of Ufone and Ubank.
  • Market Position: With the integration of Telenor’s infrastructure, PTCL has solidified its spot as Pakistan’s leading integrated telecom and ICT service provider.

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has also formally approved the merger plan, which PTCL began implementing in early 2026. Moving forward, the group aims to use this expanded platform to improve service quality and lead the country’s digital and connectivity growth.
