Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex has received praise after making a surprise appearance at the Warrior Games in San Antonio, Texas, where he supported wounded and injured US service members and veterans.
Harry attended the event following an NBA Finals appearance in the city, later taking part in the Warrior Games Family Program on its second day.
He helped serve barbecue to competitors, families and staff, and presented medals to athletes taking part in cycling and wheelchair basketball events.
The Warrior Games organisers thanked him for his visit, saying his presence brought encouragement and support to participants in their recovery journeys.
The event is closely linked to the Invictus Games, which Harry founded in 2014 to support injured military personnel through adaptive sports.
