The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has postponed the MDCAT 2026 and rescheduled the examination for September 20.
The decision was taken after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed authorities to improve the transparency, organisation and overall management of the medical entrance test.
Officials said the revised schedule aims to provide a smoother examination process and address concerns regarding fairness and coordination.
The MDCAT is a key admission test for students seeking entry into medical and dental colleges across Pakistan, making its timely and transparent conduct a major priority for education authorities.
PMDC said further details regarding the updated examination arrangements would be shared with candidates in due course.
