Pakistan Railways has announced that it will operate three special trains on the occasion of Eidul Azha to facilitate passengers travelling between major cities during the festival period, officials said.

According to the schedule, the first special train will depart from Quetta to Karachi on May 23, followed by a train from Karachi to Rawalpindi on May 24, passing through cities including Multan, Faisalabad, and Sargodha.

The third special train is set to operate from Karachi to Lahore on May 25, offering travellers an additional option to reach family and friends for the Eid celebration.

Officials noted that each special Eid train will consist of 7 to 8 coaches to accommodate the increased passenger demand typical of holiday travel.

However, Peshawar has been left out of this year’s special train operations, with no direct Eid train announced from Karachi, Lahore, or Quetta to the city, according to reports.

The initiative is part of Pakistan Railways’ efforts to ease travel pressure on regular services and improve convenience for people journeying during the official Eid holidays.
