Mohsin Naqvi reviews National Police Academy upgradation, orders swift completion of projects

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Tuesday visited the National Police Academy in Islamabad and reviewed the progress of ongoing projects aimed at upgrading the institution.

During the visit, the minister chaired a high-level meeting where officials briefed him on the status of various development works. The meeting was informed that work on the National Police Academy Upgradation Project is progressing rapidly.

According to the briefing, 80 percent of the work on the rappelling tower and 70 percent of the jogging track and obstacle course at the Elite Training School has already been completed.

Mohsin Naqvi directed the authorities to complete the firing range and boundary wall of the Elite Training School within the next two months. He emphasized the importance of modernizing police training facilities to enhance the professional capabilities of law enforcement personnel.

The meeting also decided to gradually shift the National Police Academy to solar energy as part of efforts to improve energy efficiency and reduce operational costs.

Additionally, approval was granted for the revision of the MCMC course, while the interior minister instructed officials to equip all classrooms with modern information technology facilities to support advanced training methods.

Director General FIA, Chairman CDA, Inspector General Islamabad Police, Deputy Commandant National Police Academy, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, and other senior officials attended the meeting.
