Bangladesh have recalled fast bowler Nahid Rana to their T20 squad for the upcoming three-match series against Australia, ending his nearly year-long absence from the format. The 23-year-old, who has featured in only one T20 international so far, has been rewarded for strong performances in other formats, including a standout display in the ongoing ODI series.
Chief selector Habibul Bashar said Rana remains an important part of Bangladesh’s plans but has often been rotated for workload management. Veteran pacers Taskin Ahmed and Mustafizur Rahman also return to the T20 squad, while Towhid Hridoy has been named vice-captain. Bangladesh will begin the T20 series on June 17, followed by matches on June 19 and 21, before a one-off Test against Zimbabwe in Harare starting June 28.
