India Beat Pakistan by 64 Runs in Women’s T20 World Cup

India defeated Pakistan by 64 runs in their Women’s T20 World Cup clash at Edgbaston on Sunday.

After choosing to bat, India posted a competitive total of 170-6 in 20 overs. Smriti Mandhana led the scoring with a brilliant 68 off 44 balls, while Harmanpreet Kaur added 36 in a crucial 91-run partnership.

Richa Ghosh provided late fireworks with a quick 34 off 17 deliveries to boost India’s total.

For Pakistan, Sadia Iqbal and captain Fatima Sana picked up two wickets each.

Chasing 171, Pakistan made a steady start before India’s bowlers took control. Muneeba Ali fought hard with 41 off 35 balls, but lacked support from the middle order.

Deepti Sharma starred with the ball, claiming outstanding figures of 5-10 in four overs. Shree Charani also impressed, taking three wickets.

Pakistan were bowled out for 106 in 17 overs, falling well short of the target.

The victory gives India an important win in the tournament, while Pakistan will look to bounce back in their upcoming matches.
