A National Assembly committee has approved a bill proposing changes to Islamabad’s local governance system, paving the way for amendments to the capital’s municipal framework.

During the meeting, PPP leader Abdul Qadir Patel claimed that local government elections would not be held in either Islamabad or Punjab, raising concerns over delays in the electoral process.
