Mexico national football team beat South Korea national football team 1–0 in a tight Group A match.
The win secured Mexico’s place in the World Cup knockout rounds. They became the first team to qualify for the last 32.
The match was decided by a single goal in a close contest. South Korea pushed but could not find an equaliser.
The build-up was overshadowed by an incident earlier in the week when a drone was brought down near South Korea’s training camp.
