The FIFA World Cup trophy will travel in a custom Louis Vuitton trunk to the New York–New Jersey stadium for the 2026 tournament. It is the fifth consecutive World Cup for which the French luxury house has created the trophy case.
The trunk features Louis Vuitton’s signature monogram, gold-plated corners and a gold “V” representing both Victory and Vuitton. Its beige leather interior includes a patch celebrating the partnership with FIFA.
Louis Vuitton CEO Pietro Beccari said the company and FIFA have shared a commitment to excellence for more than a decade. He added that both organisations believe sport has the power to inspire and unite people.
The World Cup trophy is usually kept at the FIFA Museum in Zurich, making the opportunity to design its travel trunk a prestigious honour.
