Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed it targeted a US troop complex in Jordan’s Al-Rukban area during the latest phase of its military operation, alleging that several American soldiers were killed. The claims could not be independently verified, and there was no immediate response from the United States or Jordan.
Meanwhile, Yemen’s Houthis announced a naval blockade on Saudi Arabia, threatening to expand the conflict beyond the Gulf and further disrupt global energy supplies. The group said the move was in response to the ongoing US-led military campaign against Iran.
The latest developments came as diplomatic efforts to secure a ceasefire continued, with ASEAN urging all sides to exercise maximum restraint and return to dialogue to prevent further regional escalation.
