India appeared to be in control at half-time after taking a 2-1 lead, with Harmanpreet Singh and Dilpreet Singh finding the net.

England, however, turned the game around after the interval with a dominant attacking display. Nicholas Bandurak scored twice, while Stuart Rushmere and Henry Croft each added a goal to complete England’s comeback victory.

The result moved England to the top of Pool D with six points from two matches, strengthening their position in the group.

India, meanwhile, have collected three points from two games, leaving their final group-stage fixture against Pakistan on August 19 crucial for their hopes of progressing in the tournament.
