Former ‘Woman’s Hour’ host suffered serious injuries in March accident before developing complications.

Dame Jenni Murray, the celebrated BBC broadcaster best known for hosting Woman’s Hour, has died aged 75 following complications from injuries sustained in a car crash.
Murray was involved in a road accident on March 4, when her vehicle collided with two stationary cars after she was reportedly dazzled by headlights. She suffered several fractured ribs, a fractured upper sternum and a collapsed lung.
After being hospitalised, Murray developed bronchopneumonia and died peacefully on March 12, her family said. Police investigated the crash but took no further action.
Murray presented BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour from 1987 to 2020, becoming the programme’s longest-serving host. She was made a dame in 2011 in recognition of her contribution to broadcasting.
