Pakistan’s losing streak against Bangladesh began in Rawalpindi in 2024, where the hosts suffered a crushing 10-wicket defeat in the opening Test. Bangladesh then completed a historic series sweep with a six-wicket victory in the second Test at the same venue.

The momentum carried into 2026 as Bangladesh defeated Pakistan by 104 runs in Mirpur before registering another convincing 78-run victory in Sylhet.

The four successive defeats have exposed Pakistan’s continued struggles in Test cricket, particularly batting inconsistency, fragile middle-order performances, and an inability to respond under pressure.

Bangladesh, on the other hand, have impressed with disciplined bowling, improved batting depth, and consistent performances in both home and away conditions.

The latest defeat is expected to influence Pakistan’s Test setup, team selection, and overall red-ball strategy ahead of upcoming international assignments.
