Openers Fakhar Zaman and Saim Ayub have been ruled out of Pakistan’s three-match ODI series against Australia, starting May 30, due to injuries, the PCB confirmed. Both players are undergoing rehabilitation under the PCB medical panel and will not be available for selection.
The series kicks off at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, with the second and third ODIs at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on June 2 and June 4, all starting at 4:30 pm local time.
This series marks Australia’s first 50-over visit to Pakistan since 2022, when Pakistan won 2–1. Earlier this year, Pakistan also completed a 3–0 T20I sweep over Australia in Lahore.
