Pakistan captain Babar Azam has admitted that his side failed to make the most of favourable conditions during the second Test against England at Lord’s. Despite making a strong start with the ball, Pakistan struggled with the bat and were unable to build the partnerships needed to stay competitive.

Babar said Pakistan’s batting was “not up to the mark” in both innings, acknowledging that the team did not capitalise on the opportunities presented by the conditions. England eventually secured a 194-run victory to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series, leaving Pakistan needing to regroup ahead of the final Test.
