Arsenal lifted the Premier League trophy after beating Crystal Palace 2-1 in their first match since becoming champions.
Mikel Arteta’s side secured the league title earlier in the week after defending champions Manchester City F.C. dropped points against Bournemouth.
Arsenal took the lead late in the first half through Gabriel Jesus before Noni Madueke added a second goal after the break.
Crystal Palace pulled one goal back through Jean-Philippe Mateta late in the game, but Arsenal comfortably held on for victory.
The win completed a strong finish to the season for Arsenal, who ended the campaign with 26 victories in 38 league matches and finished seven points ahead of Manchester City.
After the match, Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard lifted the Premier League trophy during celebrations at Selhurst Park. Fireworks, red confetti, and champagne marked the club’s first league triumph in more than two decades.
Arsenal players and fans continued the celebrations by singing club anthem “North London Forever” as thousands of supporters enjoyed the historic moment.
Manager Mikel Arteta was also celebrated by his players after guiding the club to its long-awaited title success.
Arsenal will now turn their focus to the UEFA Champions League Final, where they will face Paris Saint-Germain F.C. on May 30 in Budapest.
