Fourteen Arab and Palestinian organizations have issued an urgent joint appeal calling for international action to protect Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, warning that recent developments have significantly heightened tensions in the occupied city.

In their statement, the groups alleged attacks on worshippers, the targeting of Al-Aqsa guards, restrictions on freedom of worship and the expansion of Israeli settlements, which they said threaten the religious and historical status of the holy site.

The organizations urged Arab, Islamic and international bodies to intervene diplomatically and take steps to ensure the protection of Palestinian civilians and the preservation of Jerusalem’s religious heritage.

They also called for greater international pressure to prevent further escalation around Al-Aqsa Mosque, one of Islam’s holiest sites, warning that continued tensions in Jerusalem could have broader consequences for regional stability and efforts to reduce violence in the occupied Palestinian territories.
